The federal highway 248a runs exclusively in the area of the city of Dannenberg (Elbe) and connects the federal highways 248 , 191 and 216 about 4 km west of the city center as a crossbar .
It branches off the B 248 southwest of the city center in the Schaafhausen district and heads north in the Prisser district via the B 191 to the southern edge of the Streetz district , where it meets the B 216 northwest of the city center.
