The federal highway 427 (abbreviation: B 427 ) runs between Hinterweidenthal / district Südwestpfalz , Bad Bergzabern / district Südliche Weinstrasse and Kandel / district Germersheim in southern Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany .

course

It begins at the roundabout at the feeder to the Kandel-Mitte junction of the federal motorway 65 and crosses Kandel south-west. The B 427 continues via Minfeld and turns to the northwest at the town square. The road now runs over fields, crosses the Palatinate Maximiliansbahn and now heads west through Winden , where the Palatinate Maximiliansbahn is crossed again, past Hergersweiler , Oberhausen and Kapellen-Drusweiler . After crossing the federal highway 38 and the federal highway 48 , the B 427 reaches Bad Bergzabern , which it leaves again in a north-westerly direction into a forest area. The road crosses the municipalities of Birkenhördt and Lauterschwan in the middle of it to the west, leaves the forest again in a north-westerly direction and runs through Busenberg . From Reichenbach, the B 427 is based on the course of the Wieslauterbahn and leads north through Dahn , which is left again through a forest area. Still walking along the railway line, the B 427 reaches Hinterweidenthal , at the northern end of which it finally joins Bundesstraße 10 .

expansion

On March 16, 2017, the construction of the Bad Bergzabern bypass began. The length of the route to be expanded is 2.6 kilometers.
