Around 1053 monks from Seltz built the (since the 16th century) Protestant church on the Kirchberg in the north-west of the village. Around 1500 the choir vaults and choir windows were rebuilt in the late Gothic style and side chapels and the sacristy were added. In 2006, a support association restored a medieval wall painting in the church. This shows the story of St. Martin, the apparition of the Lord and the Annunciation to Mary.
The pictures on the west wall of the choir arch, divided into three zones, are particularly vivid. The upper zone shows the adoration of the kings, the baptism of Jesus and the three temptations of Jesus in the desert. The middle zone shows the resurrection of Jesus , his ascension, the meeting of the risen Christ with Mary Magdalene, as well as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). The lower zone shows the wise virgins and the resurrection on the last day.
Another special feature is the Winterhalter organ and a piscina , unique in the Palatinate , into which the "consecrated" water was poured. ( Picture )
