Daniel Moriz Lehr (* 1954 in Karlsruhe ) is a German sculptor and painter .

Lehr was born in 1954 as the son of the sculptor Frido Lehr and the painter Eva Lehr. He is the grandson of the librarian and publisher Herbert Stubenrauch (1896–1958). Lehr completed an apprenticeship as a sculptor in Basel and Rheinfelden from 1973 to 1976 . From 1978 to 1983 he studied sculpture and painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe in Karlsruhe with Albrecht von Hancke , Hiromi Akiyama and Otto Herbert Hajek . Lehr has been a freelance sculptor and painter since 1981 .

Lehr lives in Bad Bergzabern and Oberroedern .

Awards

In 1982 he received the Karlsruhe Academy Prize and in 1986 a work grant from the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. This was followed by a grant from the state of Baden-Württemberg. In 1988 he was an art award winner on the Southern Wine Route . Lehr was invited to various international sculpture symposia. In 2008 Daniel Moriz Lehr was the audience award winner (PAMINAPREIS) of the Ettlingen Museum Society .
