Rhineland-Palatinate Sculpture Trail
The Rhineland-Palatinate sculpture trail consists of a large number of sections in all regions of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate . It was created as a state initiative to promote art projects in public spaces .
Project description
The Rhineland-Palatinate Sculpture Trail began in 1986 with a sculpture symposium near Trippstadt . The works of art, mostly made from materials from the region, remained at the place of origin at the other symposia. In this way a network of figurative and abstract sculptures and sculptures was created in Rhineland-Palatinate - on bike paths, hiking trails and in public spaces. In addition to regionally known sculptors, international artists also took part. The Rhineland-Palatinate Sculpture Trail is intended to gradually connect all parts of the country with works of art.
