Sculptures on the river is a project of the municipalities of Konz and Saarburg as part of the state-wide sculpture trail Rhineland-Palatinate . It is also part of the road of peace that unites the peoples and leads from the Norman coast to Moscow.

Project description

The sculpture path was created in 2007 at an international sculpture symposium . It leads over twenty kilometers along the Saar from Konz via Saarburg to Serrig . Konz is also the starting point of the Stones on the River Sculpture Trail .

Pasaggio Animato	On the Wiltinger Galgenberg ( location )	2007	Maria Claudia Farina	The written text on the highest element of the sculpture is a possible trace to find the reference to what has shaped the name of the place; they are dimensions that describe something and that have also determined some formal aspects of the sculpture - but it is only one of the possible approaches to this work. silence	South of Tawern near the grill hut ( location )	2007	Werner Bitzigeio	The steel work in Tawern is supposed to appear like a natural phenomenon that one can approach, to feel, to be moved, perhaps to be enthusiastic - it exudes dignity and impresses with its power.
