Sculpture Path Hagenbach - Lauterburg

The Hagenbach - Lauterburg sculpture trail leads from Hagenbach in the southeast of Rhineland-Palatinate to Lauterburg in Alsace . It is part of the Rhineland-Palatinate Sculpture Trail .

Project description

The promotion of art projects in public space by the State of Rhineland-Palatinate led to the creation of the sculpture trail in 1999 with an international sculpture symposium in Lauterauen, France . For the first time in Rhineland-Palatinate, a cross-border sculpture trail is being created. Six French and six German artists each took part. Similar cross-border projects were created in Saarland in 1971 with the street of sculptures (St. Wendel) and in 1986 with stones at the border .
