The von Hacke family made Trippstadt their residence and had their castle built there with the Catholic castle church St. Joseph, which also became their burial place. As part of the first administrative reform in Rhineland-Palatinate , the place was incorporated into the newly created community of Kaiserslautern-Süd in 1972 , which merged with the Landstuhl community on July 1, 2019 to form the new Landstuhl community .
