Hirschhorn / Pfalz is a municipality in the Kaiserslautern district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Otterbach-Otterberg .

geography

Hirschhorn is just under 12 km north-north-west of Kaiserslautern on the Lauter . The Wölhof residential area also belongs to the community.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1233. The place name Hirschhorn has been documented since 1766.

politics

Municipal council

The local council in Hirschhorn consists of twelve council members, who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary local mayor as chairman.

Local mayor

Local mayor of Hirschhorn is the managing director Beate Rudat (FWG). Since no candidate had stood in the direct election on May 26, 2019, and the municipal council had not yet been able to find a successor, she agreed to continue the official business temporarily. In the local elections on June 7, 2009, Rudat was the first woman to be elected mayor of this municipality, and in 2014 she was confirmed in office with 63.2 percent.
