Franz Josef Reinl
Franz Josef Reinl (born March 25, 1903 in Baden near Vienna , † February 14, 1977 in Trippstadt ) was an Austrian composer .
life and career
Franz Reinl attended the Vienna Academy and University of Music from 1919. In 1926 he received his Kapellmeister diploma. Because of the theatrical crisis prevailing at the time, Reinl took part in composition competitions from which he won several awards. He then devoted himself entirely to composition, but concentrated on light music because of the higher demand and better earning potential . After the Second World War , he moved to Baden-Württemberg and worked mainly for radio.
The Franz Josef Reinl Foundation , established by his wife Hilde Reinl , awards three prizes each year to composers and harpists in competitions. The selection is made by an expert jury.
