German Pétanque Championships 2008

The German Pétanque Association (DPV) held the following German Pétanque Championships in 2008 :

qualification

At the national cup and the youth championship, teams from the national associations compete against each other.

For the championships for seniors, women and 55+, the state professional associations receive starting places that hold qualification competitions (see participants, qualifications, mode ).

DM doublet (2: 2)

The German championship in doubles (2: 2) took place on May 17th and 18th, 2008 in Ottersheim ( Rhineland-Palatinate ). The organizers were the Ottersheimer Bärenbouler Voll Druff eV .

German champions were Sascha von Pless and Jan Garner from Bundesliga club SV Odin Hannover , who defeated David Bourdoux and Gerrit Halbach from German team champion BC Sandhofen in the final 13: 1. Sascha von Pleß won his 7th German championship and was level with the record holder Klaus Mohr. (see successful athletes )

DM triplet 2008

The German triplet championship (2: 2) took place on June 14th and 15th, 2008 in Durmersheim ( Baden-Württemberg ). Champions were Klaus Mohr and Jörg Born from Bundesliga club BC Tromm and Matthias Uhl from BC Rastatt.

With this, old master Klaus Mohr won his eighth German championship title and is again the sole record champion. Mohr and Born from Bundesliga club BC Tromm also defended their previous year's title. For Born it is the third German title, Uhl (BC Rastatt) won his first German championship. Alexander Streise, Hermann Streise and Shemsedin Berisha from BV Ibbenbüren were runner-up.

The German championship in Tête-à-tête 2008 took place in Halle an der Saale. Jean-Luc Testas won here and in the parallel discipline of precision shooting.

When countries Cup 2008 in Boule Hall of BC Rastatt occurred in nine of the ten national trade associations. Thuringia did not compete and was automatically tenth.

The winner was the Boule, Boccia and Pétanque Association Baden-Württemberg ahead of the Boule and Pétanque Association North Rhine-Westphalia and the Pétanque Association Rhineland-Palatinate

Youth Country Masters

Baden-Württemberg wins the Cadets and Juniors in the Youth Country Masters 2008

At the youth championships, 9 of the 10 state associations competed with a junior team and 7 with cadet teams. That meant a record turnout. In both age groups there was one triplet from each national association. It was played with a time limit .

The boules, boccia and pétanque association Baden-Württemberg won in both age groups.
