Goran Kozomara (born June 5, 1981 in Celje , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian handball player . He is 1.98 m tall.
Kozomara, who last played for the French club Paris HB and ran for the Slovenian national team (shirt number 3), is mostly used as a circular runner.
Goran Kozomara started playing handball in his hometown. He also made his debut in the Slovenian first division for the local first division club RK Celje and won the championship and cup double in 1999. In 2000 he moved first to Radeče and then to RK Trimo Trebnje, before joining BM Granollers in the Spanish ASOBAL league in 2001 . After only one year he returned to Slovenia, where he joined the RD Slovan in 2002 before joining the RK Velika Nedelja in 2003. In 2004 he returned to his hometown club RK Celje, where he won the Slovenian championship in 2005 and the double again in 2006. After two years at Celje, Kozomara made the second attempt in Spain, this time at the CB Cantabria Santander . Sporty he descended with the Cantabrians; However, due to the forced relegation of BM Alteas , his club could remain in the top Spanish league. Nevertheless, Kozomara signed a contract with the Danish club AaB Håndbold from Aalborg in 2007 . A year later he joined league rivals Skjern Håndbold . In 2010 he signed a contract with the Danish first division club BSV Silkeborg. A year later Kozomara moved to the French first division club Paris HB.
Goran Kozomara has played 72 international matches for the Slovenian national team so far. With Slovenia he took part in the 2007 World Cup in Germany, but only finished 10th; at the European Championships in Norway in 2008 , he retired with his country after the main round.
