The Germersheim Sculpture Trail in Germersheim , in the south-east of Rhineland-Palatinate, is a section of the Rhineland-Palatinate Sculpture Trail .

Project description

The promotion of Rheinland-Pfalz of art projects in public space led in summer 1997 to the creation of the sculpture path from the castle moat system Fronte Beckers the fortress Germersheim . The works were created as part of an international sculpture symposium . Ten sculptors from four European countries took part and left their works of art, which are primarily made of sandstone . The path is about 300 meters long. A large part of the works of art can be overlooked from the fortress wall.
