The federal highway 230 (abbreviation: B 230 ) is a federal highway in North Rhine-Westphalia . It leads from Mönchengladbach to Neuss .
history
In 1840–1842 the road between Mönchengladbach and Neuss was expanded into a paved artificial road ( Chaussee ). The road between Mönchengladbach and Roermond was built in 1845 .
Reichsstraße 230 , which was set up around 1937 , originally only ran from the Dutch border to Mönchengladbach. Only around 1970 was the federal highway 230 extended to Neuss.
The western section of the B 230 between Mönchengladbach and the Dutch border was replaced in several construction phases by the A 52 and A 61 motorways . The last section of the A 52 was completed in 2009.
