The federal highway 483 (abbreviation: B 483 ) is a German federal highway in North Rhine-Westphalia southeast of Wuppertal .
General
The B 483 connects the cities of Schwelm , Ennepetal , Radevormwald and Hückeswagen .
History / other
Federal highway 483 was established in the early 1960s to improve the network of federal highways. At Radevormwald it runs on the same route as the federal road 229 . However, since this is less than a kilometer, the second intersection is not mentioned in the course (unlike usual).
The B 483 near Radevormwald is a dangerous section because it is very winding and many road users often do not adjust their speed accordingly.
For more than 40 years there has been discussion in the Schwelm area about building a new line (B483n).
