The federal highway 112 (abbreviation: B 112 ) is a federal highway in Germany . It begins in Forst (Lausitz) on the A 15 and ends on the B 1 near Küstrin (municipality of Küstriner Vorland ). The length of the federal highway 112 is about 112 kilometers.

The former Reichsstraße 112 continued from Küstrin via Pyritz to Stettin .

The 26 km long road from Frankfurt to Küstrin was built as the first section of the route in 1833. It connected the two highways from Berlin to Breslau (later Reichsstrasse 5 ) and to Königsberg (later Reichsstrasse 1 ).

The section from Stettin to Pyritz was completed in 1850, the continuation from Pyritz to Küstrin was completed in 1856. As the last section of the route, the section between Frankfurt and Guben was expanded into an art road in 1901/02.

Expansion and planning

As a western bypass from Frankfurt (Oder) , an upgraded road ( 2 + 1 system ) was built between Markendorf ( B 87 ) and Boossen ( B 5 ). The northern extension (3rd VA) to the B 167 is being planned.

On July 4, 2006, the Guben bypass, which is around 15 kilometers long, was opened to traffic by the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Transport Minister Ulrich Kasparick and the Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Planning of the State of Brandenburg, Frank Szymanski . According to the Federal Ministry of Transport, this section cost around 30 million euros.

Due to the Jänschwalde opencast mine , the 112 federal road in the area between Grießen and Groß Gastroße was relocated to the east in 2017.

Since January 2018 there have been proposals that the B 112 be extended from Forst to Spremberg and end at the B 156 roundabout . As a result, the L 482 in front of Döbern and the L 48 in the direction of Spremberg (via Hornow ) would then be upgraded.
