The federal highway 447 (abbreviation: B 447 ) is a short federal highway in the north-west of Hamburg . It is about six kilometers long and connects the federal highway 5 in Hamburg-Hoheluft with the federal highway 7 in Hamburg-Schnelsen .
The B 447 begins at the intersection of the Hoheluftchaussee coming from the city center with the Gärtnerstraße – Breitenfelder Straße street , which is part of the B 5. The Hoheluftchaussee forms the border between the districts of Hoheluft-West and Hoheluft-Ost . After about 250 meters, it turns into Lokstedter Steindamm at the intersection with Troplowitzstraße and Martinistraße . One kilometer further on, the B 447 reaches Siemersplatz in Lokstedt, where it meets the Vogt-Wells-Strasse-Osterfeldstrasse street and changes its name to Kollaustrasse . After 750 m and the bridge of the Hamburg freight bypass , the street crosses the eponymous Kollau river shortly before its confluence with the Tarpenbek and enters the Niendorf district . At the market square in Niendorf it makes a bend to the northwest and is called Friedrich-Ebert-Straße for about two kilometers before it crosses the Kollau again at the border with Schnelsen . From here, the B 447 follows the lower end of Frohmestrasse for about 350 m before it merges into Schleswiger Damm and ends at junction 24 Hamburg-Schnelsen of the A 7.
The subsequent 1.8 km to Bundesstraße 4 near Burgwedel were downgraded in the early 2000s .
The federal highway 447 has two lanes in each direction along its entire length , south of the Niendorfer Markt even three. On this section of the road, which is unusually wide for Hamburg standards , there are frequent speed violations , which is why two stationary radar devices are installed in quick succession at the end of the road at the confluence of the Papenreye road .
