The federal highway 198 (abbreviation: B 198 ) is a German federal highway in the states of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg . It begins as a junction of the B 103 south of Plau am See and crosses the A 19 at the Röbel / Müritz motorway junction , further through Vipperow (located south of the Müritz), north of the Rechlin-Lärz airfield through the town of Mirow , on to Wesenberg (Mecklenburg) and then towards Neustrelitz . The B 198 used to run directly between Neustrelitz and Strelitz Alt . Today there is an extensive bypass via Klein Trebbow to the E 251 equal to the B 96 and leads to the eastern bypass of Neustrelitz. Here it crosses the towns of Zinow, Carpin, Möllenbeck, Stolpe, Bredenfelde, Hinrichshagen, Carmzow and then joins the B 104 at the western exit of Woldegk. At the eastern exit of Woldegk it separates from the B 104 which leads to Strasburg (Uckermark) , Pasewalk on to the Polish border. The B 198 leads via Wolfshagen (Uckerland) , Dedelow and Prenzlau to the A 11 where it crosses the A 11 at the Gramzow junction and then turns south via Angermünde , and then turns west to Joachimsthal , where it connects to the A 11 is and ends there.
