The road begins in Hamburg-Eppendorf at the junction with the B 5 and leads over Tarpenbekstraße, Rosenbrook, Alsterkrugchaussee ( Hamburg-Groß Borstel ), airport bypass ( Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel ), the Krohnstiegtunnel and the Swebenweg ( Hamburg-Niendorf ) to the B 432 and to AS Hamburg-Schnelsen-Nord of the A 7 . Between its beginning in Eppendorf and the Deelböge road, the B 433 is part of Hamburger Ring 2 clockwise, from the Krohnstiegtunnel to AS Schnelsen-Nord it is part of Ring 3 counterclockwise.

Until May 16, 2000, the B 433 continued in Fuhlsbüttel over the Alsterkrugchaussee, Langenhorner Chaussee ( Hamburg-Langenhorn ), Ochsenzoll , Ulzburger Straße ( Norderstedt ), Hamburger Straße ( Henstedt-Ulzburg and Kaltenkirchen ) to Lentföhrden to the B 4 .
