history
The paved road ( Chaussee ) from Holzminden to Neuhaus was built in 1841–1843. This country road has been known as Bundesstraße 497 since the beginning of the 1970s, and in 2006 it was partially expanded.
Attractions
The scenic route leads through the Solling-Vogler Nature Park and is part of the German Fairy Tale Route .
The Ahlewiesen NSG and the Ahlequellen , near which the Bredenstein is located, can be reached from the main road. The Silberborn high ropes course and the Neuhaus wildlife park in Solling are not far away.
Behind the village Muhlenberg is the Leisser monument, a sandstone - Obelisk for the forester Georg Ludwig von Leisser who died by a hunting accident on 20 April 1773rd In addition, the air-conditioning tower is not far from this main road.
