The national highway 515 (abbreviation: B 515 ) is a German national road in North Rhine-Westphalia . It begins near Fröndenberg / Ruhr - Langschede on the Ruhr bridge of the B 233 and leads through Menden (Sauerland) and the Hönnetal to Balve - Beckum ( B 229 ).
The route of the B 515 is not continuous. In the area of the center of Menden, traffic is routed a little over the B 7 .
The federal highway 515 was established at the beginning of the 1970s. In the area of Menden and Lendringsen a bypass road was built in the 1990s to relieve the town centers. In the Hönnetal the road touches the urban area of Hemer .

The federal road 515n (abbreviation: B 515n) is a bypass built in the 1990s for the places Menden and Lendringsen intersected by the federal road 515 .
