The national highway 532 (abbreviation: B 532 ) is a German federal highway in southern Baden-Wuerttemberg near the Swiss city of Basel . It runs from the French border crossing over the Palmrain Bridge to Weil am Rhein for 2.5 kilometers into the urban area of Weil am Rhein and is one of the shortest federal highways in Germany. It transfers the federal highway 5 and the tracks of the marshalling yard Weil am Rhein . A landmark that can be seen from afar, right next to the road bridge over the railway station track, is the Haltingen water tower . Bundesstraße 532 was established in the mid / late 1980s and leads to the Palmrain Bridge, which has been restored as a road bridge; a railway bridge ran there until 1937.
