The federal highway 215 (abbreviation: B 215 ) leads in Lower Saxony from the district town Rotenburg (Wümme) , which lies between Bremen , Hanover and Hamburg , to the southern border of Lower Saxony with North Rhine-Westphalia , shortly before Minden .

The road between Nienburg and Verden was built in 1849.

The federal road 215 begins on the B 71 , leads through the city center of Rotenburg over the Wümme and after 26 km arrives in the southwestern city of Verden , known for its horse and cattle breeding . Here it leads past the city, crosses the Aller and now always runs south through the Mittelweser region , not far from the Weser , to the next district town, Nienburg / Weser (61 km). Here it no longer runs through the city center, which it used to cross from north to south, but instead runs parallel to the B 6 / B 214 to the Nienburg Mitte junction.

The road turns west in Leese , leads together with the federal highway 441 over the Weser and in its last part directly along the Lower Saxony / North Rhine-Westphalia state border until it joins the B 61 .
