The federal highway 66n (abbreviation: B 66n ) is a 5.3 km long new section of the B 66 south of Lemgo. The route, along which there are 11 bridges, was built from November 2001 and opened to traffic on May 15, 2004. The construction costs totaled 17.7 million euros.

This federal road branches off from the B 238 and joins the Ostwestfalenstraße (L 712) after 5.3 kilometers , which then leads from Blomberg as the B 252 to Warburg .
Further planning
On March 5, 2015, the Detmold district government issued the planning approval decision for the new construction of the federal road between Bielefeld and Leopoldshöhe - Asemissen .
In the draft of the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan for the construction of the route through the east of Bielefeld, it was classified as urgent, was downgraded in July 2016 and is only classified as a further requirement.
