The federal highway 295 (abbreviation: B 295 ) is a German federal highway that connects the administrative district of Stuttgart with the administrative district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg .

It leads from Stuttgart via the cities of Renningen and Weil der Stadt through the Stroh- and Heckengäu to Calw in the north-eastern Black Forest .

course

The road starts to four lanes on Pragsattel (connection to B 10 / B 27 ) before the district Feuerbach is passed as a highway in the Feuerbach tunnel with two tracks, which in the bypass of the district Weilimdorf (also highway with two lanes) opens. The B 295 continues to the A 81 (AS S-Feuerbach). In 2019, the route between Ditzingen (A81 AS S-Feuerbach) and Leonberg (A8 AS Leonberg-West) with the two through-roads will be graded on its previous course.

Behind Leonberg, the B 295 was relocated to a new route in 2007 as part of the expansion of the A 8 and the construction of the AS Leonberg-West. There it has partly been expanded to four and partly three lanes and thus leads past Renningen. It branches south of Renningen into the extension of the B 464, which was completed in 2014 . By connecting these two federal highways, a new crossbar was created between the A 8 Karlsruhe – Stuttgart and the A 81 in the direction of Singen, which is why the traffic increased significantly. The so-called "gap closure" of the two federal highways via an intersection-free junction is still in the planning phase.

At Weil der Stadt, the city built a bypass south of the city center, which was completed in 2002 and is signposted for local traffic. However, the federal highway is still the old street leading through the city center. A reallocation of the bypass to the federal highway is planned (status 2010).

After passing Simmozheim and Althengstett, the road leads to Calw, where it meets the B 296 shortly after the Calw-Heumaden bypass built between 2005 and 2008 and ends there.
