Klein Gastrose , Mały Gósćeraz in Lower Sorbian , is part of the municipality of Groß Gastrose , a district of the municipality of Schenkendöbern in the Spree-Neisse district in Brandenburg .

Klein Gastrose is located in Niederlausitz directly on the border with Poland and is part of the official settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends . The town of Guben is about seven kilometers away. Surrounding villages are the district of Schlagsdorf in the north, which belongs to the town of Guben , the villages of Sękowice in the northeast, Koperno in the east, Polanowice in the southeast and Sadzarzewice in the south, Groß Gastrose in the southwest and Kerkwitz in the northwest.
Klein Gastrose is located east of the federal highway 97 to Cottbus and the federal highway 112 from Forst to Frankfurt (Oder) , which run along a route at this point. The Lusatian Neisse flows east of the village along the border with Poland.
history
Klein Gastrose was first mentioned in a document in 1480 as "Kleine Goßstrasse". The place name comes from the Sorbian language and means "settlement of a man with the name Gostirad". In 1486 the name "Kleine Gostrasze" was handed down.
Klein Gastrose has always been in the Kingdom of Prussia , between 1816 and 1945 the place was part of the Frankfurt administrative district in the Neumark sub-province . Within the administrative district, the rural community was administered by the administrative district of Schenkendöbern . At the time of the Soviet occupation zone , Klein Gastrose was in the Cottbus district for two years . On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into Groß Gastrose .
On July 25, 1952, Klein Gastrose was assigned to the newly formed Guben district in the Cottbus district . After the reunification , the village was initially in the district of Guben and was assigned to the district of Spree-Neisse with the Brandenburg district reform of December 6, 1993 . On May 28, 1998, Klein Gastrose was affiliated to the newly formed community Gastrose-Kerkwitz . On October 26, 2003, this community was dissolved again and Klein Gastrose came to the community of Schenkendöbern as a place to live in the Gastrose district . The district was renamed Groß Gastrose on February 20, 2006. On October 14, 2010, Klein Gastrose was upgraded to an inhabited part of the community.
Small Gastrose is part of the parish Kerkwitz . This belongs to the parish Guben, which has been subordinate to the dean's office Cottbus-Neuzelle since September 1st, 2004 and belongs to the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .
