Lübbinchen ( Lubink in Lower Sorbian ) is a district of the municipality of Schenkendöbern in the Spree-Neisse district in Brandenburg .
Geography and transport links
Lübbinchen is in Lower Lusatia . Neighboring places are Groß Drewitz in the north, Krayne in the northeast, Grano and the main town Schenkendöbern in the east, Atterwasch in the southeast, Bärenklau in the south and Pinnow in the west.
Lübbinchen is on the federal highway 320 from Lübben (Spreewald) to Guben .
history
Lübbinchen was first mentioned in a document on August 30, 1465 under the name Lubinichen . The place name means small Lübben , whereby the name Lübben is derived from the Sorbian personal name "Luba".
Lübbinchen Castle was built in 1840 . This belonged to a banking family with Jewish roots that was expelled by the National Socialists during the Second World War .
After the Congress of Vienna , Lower Lusatia and the village of Lübbinchen became part of the Kingdom of Prussia . There the place was in the administrative district of Grano in the district of Guben . On July 25, 1952, Lübbinchen was assigned to the newly formed Guben district in the Cottbus district and, after the reunification, was in the Guben district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Lübbinchen came to the newly formed Spree-Neisse district . On December 31, 1998, Lübbinchen became part of the newly formed Pinnow-Heideland municipality , which was merged on October 26, 2003 with the previously independent municipalities of Atterwasch , Bärenklau , Gastrose-Kerkwitz , Grabko and Lutzketal to form the new municipality of Schenkendöbern .
