Krayne ( Krajna in Lower Sorbian ) is a district of the municipality of Schenkendöbern in the Spree-Neisse district in Brandenburg .

Geography and transport links

Krayne is on the K 7145. The L 46 runs east and the B 320 south.

history

Krayne was first mentioned in a document in 1465. In 1588 the name Crayne was mentioned . The place name is derived from the Sorbian word kraj = "country".

Architectural monuments

Hubertushof

In the list of architectural monuments in Schenkendöbern , three architectural monuments are listed for Krayne :

  • The "Hubertushof" residential building (Hubertusweg 1), a two-storey building with two corner projections and a half-hip roof , has been known since around 1914.
  • The landscape park (Schloßstraße 16) was laid out at the beginning of the 18th century. From this time on, gardeners can be proven.
  • The manor house (Schloßstraße 16), a single-storey building with a mansard roof , was probably built around 1790.
