history

From 1512 Schlagsdorf was owned by the Office of the Order of St. John Schenkendorf. During the Thirty Years' War , the place was badly damaged, and seven lots were without owners. These were initially added to the Order of St. John and formed a Vorwerk for the neighboring Schenkendorf . From 1654 at the latest, viticulture was practiced near the village . In 1730, a cattle epidemic broke out in Schlagsdorf , which killed a total of 95 animals in the village. Between July and November 1759 there was another cattle epidemic, this time 105 animals died.

On June 1, 1904, the Forst – Guben railway was put into operation in Schlagsdorf . The place had a train station at 23.8 km. Passenger traffic on this route was stopped on May 30, 1981. In 1995 goods traffic on the route was also discontinued.

Schlagsdorf has always been in the Kingdom of Prussia , between 1816 and 1945 the place was part of the Frankfurt administrative district in the Neumark sub-province . Within the administrative district, Schlagsdorf was administered by the administrative district of Schenkendöbern . At the time of the Soviet occupation zone , the community was in the Cottbus district for two years . On July 25, 1952, Schlagsdorf was assigned to the newly formed Guben district in the Cottbus district . After the reunification , the community was initially in the district of Guben and was assigned to the district of Spree-Neisse with the Brandenburg district reform of December 6, 1993 . At the same time it was incorporated into Guben together with the previously independent municipalities of Bresinchen and Deulowitz .
