On July 25, 1952 Deulowitz was assigned to the newly formed Guben district in the Cottbus district . After the reunification , the community was initially in the district of Guben and was assigned to the district of Spree-Neisse with the Brandenburg district reform of December 6, 1993 . At the same time, Deulowitz was incorporated into the city of Guben together with the previously independent municipalities of Bresinchen and Schlagsdorf .

Deulowitz is part of the parish Atterwasch. This belongs to the parish Guben, which has been subordinate to the dean's office Cottbus-Neuzelle since September 1st, 2004 and belongs to the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .
