history

Paul thirty, founder of thirty bakery
The thirty family's first bakery business in Guben, 1920s

In the summer of 1911 Paul Drei 30 opened a bakery in Guben, which in 1914 relocated to newly built business premises within the city. In the years after the end of the Second World War, the bakery was taken over by his son Werner Drei 30. After his death in the 1970s, his son Peter Drei 30 finally ran the business as a master baker in the third generation. At the time of political change in the GDR , this comprised eleven employees.

The company's current production facility

After the fall of the Wall, the bakery acquired the former factory kitchen of the Guben man-made fiber plant and built a modern production facility, which began production in 1992. As one of the first family-run bakeries in the new federal states , the Drei 30 bakery starts to open branches. In 1997, “Cottbuser Feinback GmbH” became a 100% subsidiary of the Drei 30 bakery. Due to the growth of the branch network until the end of the 1990s, production had to be expanded. From 1998 to 1999 a new production building was built in the Deulowitz industrial park in Guben, and production for "Cottbuser Feinback GmbH" was integrated at the new location. In November 2001, owner Peter Drei 30 is elected President of the Cottbus Chamber of Crafts . He was confirmed in the 2006, 2011 and 2016 follow-up elections and is elected to office until 2021.

Todays situation

Today the bakery supplies around 100 branches in Brandenburg, Berlin and Saxony and employs around 900 people. In addition to the owners Cornelia and Peter Drei 30, the family company also has their daughter Antje (master baker and food technician) as head of sales and marketing and Markus Drei 30 as production manager.

According to its own information, the company supports clubs and projects mainly in Lusatia , such as the Cottbusser Tafel and youth football in Lower Lusatia in the form of a partnership with the youth development association Fußballunion Niederlausitz from Guben.
