Until 2007, the Manschnow experimental station of the State Office for Consumer Protection, Agriculture and Land Reorganization of Brandenburg was located on parts of the former estate . The test station, which has existed for 45 years, made variety tests for the vegetable growers in the Oderbruch . The Herzershof part of the municipality (built as a successor to the official Vorwerk that burned down in 1817 (location not known) ) was named after Herzer, the leaseholder and bailiff at the time.

The only oil production site in Brandenburg so far is located near Neu Manschnow. The operator GDF Suez produces around 60 t of crude oil and 20,000  m³ of natural gas here every day  . The natural gas is processed in a block-type thermal power station in Manschnow, while the oil is transported by truck to Schwedt / Oder to the PCK refinery for further processing . The field has been in operation since 2002 and drilled to a depth of 2,350 meters. The initially higher production volumes fell to 9,910 t oil and 4.7  million  m³ gas in 2016 and 5,419 t oil and 2.6 million m³ gas in 2017 .
