The Office Golzow [ ˈgɔltsoː ] is an office formed in 1992 in the Märkisch-Oderland district of the German state of Brandenburg , in which initially twelve municipalities in the former Seelow district were combined to form an administrative association. The official seat is the community of Golzow . Due to the amalgamation of parishes, the office now has only five parishes.

Geographical location

The Golzow office is located in the east of the Märkisch-Oderland district. It borders the municipality of Letschin in the north, the Republic of Poland in the east, the Lebus office in the south and the city of Seelow in the west .

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the formation of the Golzow Office on June 30, 1992. The date on which the office was established was July 6, 1992. The office had its seat in the community of Golzow and consisted of twelve communities of the former Seelow district : Alt Tucheband, Buschdorf, Bleyen, Friedrichsaue, Genschmar, Golzow, Gorgast, Hathenow, Manschnow, Küstrin-Kietz, Rathstock and Zechin.

On December 31, 1997, the municipalities of Gorgast, Manschnow and Küstrin-Kietz merged to form the new municipality of Küstriner Vorland. The communities Buschdorf, Friedrichsaue and Zechin also formed the new community Zechin on December 31, 1997.

With effect from December 31, 2001, the formation of the new official municipality Alt Tucheband from the municipalities of Hathenow, Alt Tucheband and Rathstock was approved by the Ministry of the Interior of Brandenburg. Also on December 31, 2001, the parishes of Bleyen and Genschmar merged to form the new parish of Bleyen-Genschmar.

Blazon : "In silver, a bunch of twelve lancet-shaped green stalks, entwined by a golden hoop with flower-like ornamental elements on both sides."
