The Neuhardenberg office is an office established in 1992 in the Märkisch-Oderland district of the state of Brandenburg , in which nine communities in the former Seelow and Strausberg districts had initially merged to form an administrative association. The official seat is the municipality of Neuhardenberg . Due to the amalgamation of communities, the office currently has three communities.

Geographical location

The Neuhardenberg office is located in the center of the Märkisch-Oderland district. It borders in the north on the Barnim-Oderbruch Office , in the east on the municipality Letschin , in the southeast on the city of Seelow , which is free of charge , in the south on the Office Seelow-Land and the city of Müncheberg and in the west on the Office Märkische Schweiz .

Municipalities and districts

The Neuhardenberg Office administers three municipalities:

history

On July 3, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Neuhardenberg Office, which was set to take place on July 16, 1992. The municipality of Neuhardenberg is the seat of the official administration. The following nine communities from the former Seelow and Strausberg districts were summarized in it:

  1. Altfriedland
  2. Batzlow
  3. Gusow
  4. Neuhardenberg
  5. Platkov
  6. Quappendorf
  7. Reichenberg
  8. Ringenwalde
  9. Wulkow near Trebnitz

On December 31, 1997, the merger of the communities Gusow and Platkow created the new community Gusow-Platkow. On May 1, 1998, the communities Altfriedland and Wulkow near Trebnitz were incorporated into the community Neuhardenberg.

With effect from December 31, 2001, the Ministry of the Interior approved the formation of the new official municipality Märkische Höhe from the municipalities of Batzlow, Reichenberg and Ringenwalde.

In 2003 the Quappendorf community was incorporated into the Neuhardenberg community by law. Quappendorf first sued the constitutional court of Brandenburg against the incorporation before the actual incorporation; she was rejected. The lawsuit before the Federal Constitutional Court was ultimately unsuccessful.
