Ringenwalde is a district of the Märkische Höhe community in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg . The former independent municipality merged with the neighboring municipalities of Batzlow and Reichenberg with effect from December 31, 2001. Official business is carried out by the Neuhardenberg Office.

geography

The village is on the Barnim on the northern border of the Märkische Schweiz nature park ; a large part of the district is in the nature park. To the east in the Ringenwalder Heide, the area borders on the Stobbertal . The Dolgensee is located in the southeast corner .

history

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1271. In the Middle Ages it was the property of the Cistercian nuns - monastery Friedland .
