District municipalities and cities

All places are listed that were independent municipalities on July 25, 1952 when the Strausberg district was established. Parishes that lost their independence by December 5, 1993 and were incorporated into larger neighboring parishes or had merged with another parish have moved in.

In 1992 the administrative communities Amt Altlandsberg , Amt Hoppegarten , Amt Märkische Schweiz and Amt Müncheberg were founded in the Strausberg district . The offices of Neuhardenberg Rüdersdorf , Wriezen-Land (renamed Amt Barnim-Oderbruch in 1994 ), which were located in the neighboring districts of Seelow and Bad Freienwalde, encroached on the edge of the district.
