The barnim-oderbruch , previously Office Wriezen-Land is a 1992 Country Brandenburg formed Office in the district Oderland , in the original 21 communities in the former districts Bad Freienwalde , Seelow and Strausberg were combined into one management group. As a result of reclassifications, incorporations and community amalgamations, the number of official communities has been reduced to six.

Geographical location

The Barnim-Oderbruch office is in a semicircle around the town of Wriezen in the west of the Märkisch-Oderland district. It borders in the west on the district of Barnim , in the north on the city of Wriezen and the office Falkenberg-Höhe , in the east on the municipality Letschin and the city Neuhardenberg and in the south on the office Märkische Schweiz .

The Wriezen-Land office was established with effect from June 19, 1992. The seat of the official administration was the city of Wriezen. The office comprised the following communities in the former districts of Bad Freienwalde , Seelow and Strausberg :

The office was renamed to Amt Barnim-Oderbruch on October 1, 1994. On January 1, 1995 the communities of Neutrebbin and Wuschewier merged to form the new community of Neutrebbin. On December 31, 1997, Lüdersdorf / Biesdorf ( Wriezen Office ) merged with the communities of Haselberg and Frankenfelde (Barnim-Oderbruch Office) to form the new Wriezener Höhe municipality . Also on December 31, 1997, Sternebeck / Harnekop and Prötzel merged to form the new municipality of Prötzel. The communities Altreetz, Mädewitz and Wustrow formed the new community Altreetz on December 31, 1997. The communities Reichenow and Möglin also formed the new community Reichenow-Möglin on December 31, 1997. The communities Bliesdorf and Kunersdorf-Metzdorf also merged on this date to form the new community Bliesdorf-Kunersdorf-Metzdorf. The name was changed to Bliesdorf on May 1, 1998.

In addition, the communities Altbarnim ( Office Letschin ) and Neutrebbin and Alttrebbin (Office Barnim-Oderbruch) formed the new Neutrebbin municipality on December 31, 1997. The new community was assigned to the office of Barnim-Oderbruch. As part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg in 2003, Neulewin and Neulietzegöricke merged on October 26, 2003 to form the new municipality of Neulewin. The communities Neurüdnitz, Neuküstrinchen and Neureetz formed the new community Oderaue. The municipality of Güstebieser Loose was incorporated into the new municipality of Neulewin at the same time.

On October 26, 2003, the municipality of Wriezener Höhe was incorporated into the city of Wriezen and left office. Also on October 26th, the municipalities Gäckericker Loose and Altreetz were incorporated into the new municipality of Oderaue.
