The Wriezen Office was an office in the state of Brandenburg that was established in 1992 and dissolved again in 1997 , in which initially five municipalities and the city of Wriezen of the then Bad Freienwalde district (now the Märkisch-Oderland district , Brandenburg) had merged to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Wriezen.

Geographical location

The Wriezen office bordered the Bad Freienwalde office in the north (renamed the Bad Freienwalde-Insel office in 1994 ), the Wriezener Land office in the northeast, east and south (renamed the Barnim-Oderbruch office in 1994 ) and the office in the west Falkenberg height .

Formation of the Wriezen Office

On May 7, 1992, the Minister of the Interior approved the establishment of the Wriezen Office. June 4, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Wriezen. The office comprised the following communities in what was then the Bad Freienwalde district:

  1. Schulzendorf
  2. Altwriezen / Beauregard
  3. Eichwerder
  4. Rathsdorf
  5. Lüdersdorf / Biesdorf
  6. City of Wriezen

On December 31, 1997, Lüdersdorf / Biesdorf merged with the communities of Haselberg and Frankenfelde ( Barnim-Oderbruch Office ) to form the new community of Wriezener Höhe ; the new congregation was an official congregation of the Barnim-Oderbruch office.

The communities Altwriezen / Beauregard, Schulzendorf, Rathsdorf / Neugaul and Eichwerder were also incorporated into the city of Wriezen on December 31, 1997. The Wriezen office was dissolved on December 31, 1997, and the city of Wriezen was vacant.

The municipality of Wriezener Höhe was incorporated into the city of Wriezen as part of the municipality reform in Brandenburg on October 26, 2003.
