Falkenberg

The Falkenberg-Höhe is a 1992 Country Brandenburg formed Office in the district Oderland , in the original nine churches in what was then located district of Bad Freienwalde had formed a government bond; another parish was assigned by decree. The official seat is the municipality of Falkenberg (Mark) . As a result of community mergers, the number of officially affiliated communities has been reduced to four.

Geographical location

The office is located in the west of the Märkisch-Oderland district and borders in the north on the offices of Biesenthal-Barnim and Britz-Chorin-Oderberg , in the east on the city of Bad Freienwalde (Oder) , in the south-east on the unofficial city of Wriezen , in the south on the Amt Barnim-Oderbruch , in the south-west to the city of Werneuchen, which is free of charge, and in the west to the Amt Biesenthal-Barnim.

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his approval to the establishment of the Falkenberg-Höhe office on August 19, 1992. August 21, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. The office was based in the municipality of Falkenberg (Mark) and initially consisted of nine municipalities in what was then the Bad Freienwalde district :

  5. Freudenberg
  6. Heckelberg
  7. Kruge / Gersdorf
  8. Leuenberg
  9. Steinbeck

The municipality of Wölsickendorf ( recte Wölsickendorf-Wollenberg) was assigned to the Falkenberg-Höhe office on the same date. On March 1, 1999, the name of the community of Dannenberg was changed to Dannenberg / Mark. On December 31, 2001, the communities of Beiersdorf and Freudenberg merged to form the new community of Beiersdorf-Freudenberg . Also on December 31, 2001, the communities of Dannenberg / Mark, Falkenberg (Mark) and Kruge / Gersdorf formed the new community of Falkenberg. The communities Kruge and Gersdorf had already merged on October 1, 1961 to form the community Kruge / Gersdorf. Again on the same date, the communities of Heckelberg and Brunow merged to form the new community of Heckelberg-Brunow. The municipality of Höhenland was created on May 1, 2002 through the merger of the municipalities of Leuenberg and Steinbeck. On October 26, 2003, the municipality of Wölsickendorf-Wollenberg was incorporated into the municipality of Höhenland by law. Wölsickendorf and Wollenberg merged on October 1, 1961 to form the municipality of Wölsickendorf-Wollenberg. The municipality of Wölsickendorf-Wollenberg lodged a municipal constitutional complaint with the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, but this was rejected.

Office Director

  • since 2012: Holger Horneffer

Alberti was retired on October 13, 2011 because of a serious illness. On April 30, 2012, Holger Horneffer was elected by the Official Committee as the new Official Director for a term of eight years.

The coat of arms was approved on May 2, 1996. It was designed by heraldist Frank Diemar .
