The Biesenthal-Barnim office , based in the city of Biesenthal, is an office in the Barnim district of the State of Brandenburg , in which six municipalities are united to form an administrative association. It was formed in 1992 and initially comprised eight communities in the former Bernau and Eberswalde districts . Through the amalgamation of municipalities and the incorporation and outsourcing of municipalities, the office now has six municipalities belonging to the office.

Geographical location

The office is located in the middle of the Barnim district and borders the municipality of Wandlitz in the west, the city of Eberswalde and the municipality of Schorfheide in the north, the district of Märkisch-Oderland in the east and the city of Bernau near Berlin in the south.

Municipalities and districts

The office is currently (2018) divided into the following municipalities, districts and residential areas:

  • Biesenthal (city) with the district Danewitz and the residential areas Dewinsee-Siedlung, Eiserbude, Hellmühle, Priesterpfuhlsiedlung, Siedlung, Vorwerk, Wehrmühle and Wullwinkel
  • Breydin with the districts Tuchen-Klobbicke and Trampe as well as the residential areas Karlshof, Klobbicke, Mittelmühle, Neue Mühle and Tuchen
  • Marienwerder with the districts of Ruhlsdorf , Marienwerder and Sophienstädt and the residential areas Forsthaus Grafenbrück, Grafenbrücker Mühle, Grafenbrückschleuse, Pechteich and Ruhlsdorfer Schleuse
  • Melchow with the districts Melchow and Schönholz as well as the Wildtränke residential area
  • Rüdnitz with the residential areas Albertshof, Bahnhofssiedlung, Kühle Kaveln, Langerönner Mühle and Schulzenaue
  • Sydower Fließ with the districts Grüntal and Tempelfelde as well as the residential areas Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hof, Siedlung and Sydow

history

On 17 June 1992 the Minister of the Interior gave its approval to the formation of the Office Biesenthal-Barnim, has been set for the conclusion of June 19, 1992. The seat of the official administration is the city of Biesenthal. The following communities from the districts of Bernau and Eberswalde at that time were included:

  1. Danewitz
  2. Temple field
  3. Grüntal
  4. Woodpecker houses
  5. Tuchen-Klobbicke
  6. Hitchhike
  7. Melchow
  8. City of Biesenthal

On September 27, 1998, Trampe and Tuchen-Klobbicke merged to form the new community of Breydin, and the communities of Grüntal and Tempelfelde formed the new community of Sydower Fließ. At the same time, Melchow and Spechthausen also merged to form the new municipality of Melchow. On December 31, 2002, the municipality of Rüdnitz (previously the Panketal office ) was assigned to the Biesenthal-Barnim office. In the course of the municipal reform in 2003 in Brandenburg , Danewitz was incorporated into the city of Biesenthal on October 26, 2003. The community Marienwerder (previously the office Groß Schönebeck (Schorfheide) ) was assigned to the office Biesenthal-Barnim; the office of Groß Schönebeck (Schorfheide) was dissolved. The Spechthausen district of the Melchow community was incorporated into Eberswalde on January 1, 2006.

Nedlin was born on 22 October 2012 by the Office Committee elected for a term of eight years to the office director. He took office on December 1, 2012.

The Achtberg im Schildfuß represents the eight municipalities that belonged to the office when it was founded: Danewitz, Grüntal, Melchow, Spechthausen, Tempelfelde, Trampe, Tuchen-Klobbicke and the city of Biesenthal. The linden leaf stands for the deciduous tree typical of the region, the rye ear for agriculture as the historically predominant economic form in the communities.
