The place Grüntal is a part of the municipality Sydower Fließ in the office Biesenthal-Barnim , district Barnim , state Brandenburg . In 2006 there were around 500 inhabitants in Grüntal.
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1375. On September 27, 1998, the community of Grüntal merged with the community of Tempelfelde to form the community of Sydower Fließ.
The field stone church in the center of the village and the heavily dilapidated church in the district of Sydow are worth seeing. Next to the church is an oak tree with a trunk circumference of 6.73 m (2016).
In 1993, a part of the movie We can also be different ... by Detlev Buck was shot in Grüntal . The village pub, in which some scenes from the film are set, is only a ruin after a later fire.
At the Grüntal primary school, children from several neighboring communities learn.
