Sydower Fließ [ ˈzyːdoəɐ̯ ˈfliːs ] is a municipality in the Barnim district ( Brandenburg ). It is administered by the Biesenthal-Barnim office based in the city of Biesenthal .

geography

The community is located northeast of the city of Bernau near Berlin . The river Sydower Fließ begins near the residential area Sydow in the middle of the municipality and runs westwards to its confluence with the river Finow near Biesenthal .

Community structure

The two districts of the community are Grüntal and Tempelfelde . There are also the residential areas Friedrich-Wilhelms-Hof, Siedlung and Sydow.

history

Grüntal and Tempelfelde have belonged to the Oberbarnim district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 . In 1952, Grüntal was incorporated into the Eberswalde district and Tempelfelde was incorporated into the Bernau district in the GDR district of Frankfurt (Oder) . The villages have been in the Brandenburg district of Barnim since 1993.

The community of Sydower Fließ was created on September 27, 1998 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent communities Grüntal and Tempelfelde . The name is an artificial word and has not yet found its way into general usage.
