Ruhlsdorf is a district of the Marienwerder municipality in the Barnim district in Brandenburg with around 500 inhabitants. It is located west of Eberswalde and about 45 kilometers north of Berlin city center . The Oder-Havel Canal with the Ruhlsdorfer lock runs nearby .
history
In the Stone Age there was a settlement in the area surrounding today's town. The earliest mention of Ruleuesdorpe ( Rulevesdorpe ) is from 1315 and that of a pastor from 1375.
On December 31, 2002, Ruhlsdorf merged with Marienwerder to form a community. In 2017 Ruhlsdorf was chosen as the "Most Beautiful Village in Barnim".
