The Bad Freienwalde-Insel office was an office in the state of Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which five municipalities and the city of Bad Freienwalde of the then Bad Freienwalde district (now the Märkisch-Oderland district , Brandenburg ) were combined in an administrative association. The original name Amt Bad Freienwalde was changed to Amt Bad Freienwalde-Insel in 1994. The official seat was in the city of Bad Freienwalde (Oder) . The Bad Freienwalde-Insel office was dissolved again in 2003.

Geographical location

The Bad Freienwalde-Insel office bordered the Oderberg office in the north, Poland and the Barnim-Oderbruch office in the east, the Wriezen office in the south, the Falkenberg-Höhe office in the west and the Britz-Chorin office in the northwest ( today office Britz-Chorin-Oderberg).

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his approval on October 22, 1992 for the establishment of the Bad Freienwalde office. The name of the office was changed to Amt Bad Freienwalde-Insel on October 1, 1994. On October 26, 2003 the communities Altglietzen, Bralitz, Hohenwutzen, Neuenhagen and Schiffmühle were incorporated into the city of Bad Freienwalde (Oder). The Bad Freienwalde-Insel office was dissolved and the city of Bad Freienwalde (Oder) became an official.
