Reichenow-Möglin is a municipality in the Märkisch-Oderland district in Brandenburg and is part of the Barnim-Oderbruch office .
Community structure
The former communities Reichenow and Möglin each form a district. Another inhabited part of the community is Herzhorn.
history
In 1412 were identified by Pfuel with the town of Reichenow by Frederick I invested. The Möglin manor existed in the Möglin district ; here Albrecht Daniel Thaer founded the Agricultural Academy Möglin . Möglin belonged to Schulzendorf (now part of Wriezen ) until 1949 and then became independent.
Reichenow and Möglin belonged to the Oberbarnim district in the province of Brandenburg since 1817 . From 1952 Reichenow was incorporated into the Strausberg district , Möglin into the Bad Freienwalde district in the GDR district of Frankfurt (Oder) . Both places have been in the Brandenburg district of Märkisch-Oderland since 1993.
The municipality of Reichenow-Möglin was created on December 31, 1997 from the voluntary merger of the two previously independent municipalities of Reichenow and Möglin.
