Neuküstrinchen is a part of the municipality Oderaue in the district of Märkisch-Oderland in Brandenburg .
Geographical location
Neuküstrinchen is located in the Oderbruch between the Old Oder and the current course of the Oder and is geographically one of the German towns in Neumark .
history
Neu Cüstrinchen was laid out from 1755 to 1758 as a colonist village in the recently drained Oderbruch. The 36 plots of land were given to settlers mainly from Upper Austria , the Palatinate and Poland . In 1766 the first half-timbered church was built. In 1905 a primary school was opened. In 1945 the place was damaged during the fighting for the Seelow Heights.
In 1955 an LPG was established in the village.
Administrative history
Since 1816 the place belonged to the district of Königsberg / Neumark. In 1945 it was incorporated into the Oberbarnim district after the Oder-Neisse border was established . Since 1950 it has belonged to the Bad Freienwalde district and since 1993 to the Märkisch-Oderland district. On October 26, 2003 Neuküstrinchen merged with other places to form the Oderaue community.
