Alttrebbin is a village that today belongs to the municipality of Neutrebbin in the Märkisch-Oderland district.

Geographical location

Alttrebbin is located about two kilometers north of Neutrebbin and about 15 kilometers southeast of Wriezen .

history

Settlements can be detected in the area of ​​Alttrebbin as early as the Stone Age . A stone ax was found northeast of the village. The place is mentioned for the first time in 1349 as Trebinken. When the colonist village of Neutrebbin was completed in 1764, the village was named Alttrebbin. In 1734 65 people lived here, in 1764 89 people. Around 1800 lived in the 15 houses of the Lehnschulze , ten farmers, six residents , a windmill and a Kruger , a total of 122 people.

In the second half of the 18th century, the round village was expanded to the east. A village square was created with a school and prayer house. The chapel was built in 1905.

In 1946 the population had grown to 365, and numerous war refugees lived in the village. In 1953 the LPG "Oderland" was founded. In 1957 Altlewin came to the Alttrebbin community. Since 1997, both villages have belonged to the Neutrebbin community.

Architectural monuments

The school and prayer house was used by 25 children in 1833; in 1900 there were 43 children.
