Grube is a village that today belongs to the municipality of Neutrebbin in the Märkisch-Oderland district.
Geographical location
Grube is located southeast of Neutrebbin in the immediate vicinity and is about twelve kilometers southeast of Wriezen .
In 2005 about 75 people lived in the village.
history
The name Grube is derived from gray, a name for the hay meadows higher up in the marshland. Originally the place was supposed to be called Carlshof, but since 1769 it has been called Grube. From 1753 to 1754 ten colonists built their farms. In 1769 15 families settled here. Around 1800 ten whole farmers, two half-farmers, two residents and one Kruger lived here, there were a total of 114 inhabitants. In 1900 only 77 people lived here. At the time the goose was being fattened in the village , in 1900 there were 6139 geese in the village.
The village was incorporated into Neutrebbin in 1935. From 1953 the farms of the village belonged to the LPG Morgenrot in Neutrebbin.
Special buildings
The syringe house was probably built in the second half of the 19th century. The fire brigade's mobile syringe stood here. Today the building is used as a morgue. The house was built from brick and field stone.
The Grube 21 farm consists of a house, cattle shed and pigsty. The house was built in 1904. It is single storey and has a gable roof. There is a wooden arbor in front of the entrance.
The Grube 30 yard is the yard of a middle colonist. Goose fattening was carried out here until 1938. The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The stable was built in 1900.
There is a flour mill with storage and workshop buildings at Grube 40. Goose fattening was also used here. The mill was used to produce fodder. From 1953 the LPG Morgenrot used the mill. The mill technology is preserved from this time.The building of the mill and the other buildings were built in 1900.
