geography
Bruchmühle is located on the edge of the Oberbarnim plateau , which was formed in the Ice Age about 200,000 years ago. The Mühlenfließ runs through the village and flows into the Großer Müggelsee at the end of its course .
history
Bruchmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1428 as Brockmolne (Brockmühle). However, Bruchmühle did not become independent as a place until 1910. The part of the municipality Radebrück emerged as a colony in the middle of the 18th century and was connected to the Chaussee Berlin - Strausberg - Prötzel in 1850 . In April 1945 the place was briefly a stopover for the Ulbricht group on their onward flight to Berlin. The new housing estates Am Wiesengrund , Zum Mühlenfließ and Am Wald have recently emerged. On December 31, 2002 Bruchmühle was incorporated into Altlandsberg.
