The National Highway 112 ( R 112 ) was up to 1945 a main road of the German Reich . It ran in a north-south direction and connected western Pomerania ( Stettin ) with eastern Brandenburg Neumark ( Küstrin ) as well as Frankfurt (Oder) and southern Brandenburg Lower Lusatia ( Forst ). Their total length was 207 kilometers.
Today the first half of the former R112 runs on Polish soil. Its route is divided into several state roads (Polish: Droga krajowa): DK 3 , DK 26 , DK 23 and DK 31 , which connect the West Pomeranian Voivodeship with the north of the Lubusz Voivodeship . From the German-Polish border near Küstrin (Polish: Kostrzyn nad Odrą), the second half of the R 112 on German soil is now known as Bundesstraße 112 (B 112).
